![]() HDMI 4 on the V6A (the Sky box) is set to 1.4 and Mode 2. It has an NZ My Sky connected to HDMI 4 and a Blueray player into HDMI 5. Thank you for contacting Denon Customer Support.I've had an RX-V6A into an LG C1 for about six weeks now. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us again. This method bypasses the video repeating process so it should provide reliable communication between the devices. Connect the source to the TV directly and use ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel / Enhanced Audio Return Channel) from the TV so that the audio track will feed from the TV back to the AVR via the already connected HDMI cable. Common EDID management devices are manufactured by companies such as Atlona, Key Digital and Metra/Ethereal. These devices copy the TV's EDID and use the same data for consistency. Install an EDID management device in between the AVR and TV. Specify that you have an HDMI repeating device (AVR) in between the display and source and the EDID needs to be altered for that type of configuration. Report the issue to the TV/display manufacturer and see if they will alter the way the EDID is presented to the other devices via a firmware update. If you find it is an EDID based negotiation issue, there are a few things you can do. This test removes the TV’s EDID from the equation, so if you don’t experience any audio issues during this test, we can then verify the TV’s EDID is most likely the root cause of the issue. With the output cable disconnected, see if you experience any audio cut outs / drops. If the audio is cutting out but the video is consistent, then the best test would be to remove the HDMI output cable (cable in between the AVR and TV) from the back of the AVR and leave it disconnected for the duration of the test. It is also recommended to try a different HDMI output cable just to rule out any type of data transfer issue with the current cable you’re using. A different TV generates different EDID (data) back to the other devices, so communicating with a different make/model TV means you should get a different result in the stability of the communication between the source, AVR and TV. The best way to verify an EDID negotiation issue is to test with a different make/model TV or display and see if you get a different result. This is a common HDMI communication problem that has to do with the TV's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) not negotiating well with the source(s) when an HDMI repeating device (AVR) is in the mix. If this does not correct it then it may be an EDID issue Please make sure your unit is up to date to correct the VRR issue.Īs for the communication and clocking problems I recommended swapping the OUTPUT HDMI cable. "Thank you for contacting Denon Support, we value you as a customer and appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance! Here is their reply to my inquiry for suggestions: They are way more helpful than Microsoft is. ![]() ![]() I just got this response from my AVR manufacturer. It is very frustrating and I'm going to be taking back the tv here soon if I cannot get it resolved as I shouldn't have this issue after spending so much on it. ![]() It doesn't stop working again if I don't switch, so it isn't just randomly going to no signal, only if I actually switch out of it to something else or go to my home screen.Īny ideas to what I could do? I am using a real 2.1 HDMI, the zeskit Maya, and all my settings do work, 4k 120 hz, Dolby vision etc, so it isn't a problem with any settings, it just does that random no signal when switching. This doesn't always happen when switching but it is very frequent I would say anytime I switch about 3 times it will happen, so if I just stick to one game all day then no issues occur. However, one thing to note is that sound still works just fine, as I am plugged in to my receiver and it still has whatever audio is playing come through, and it registers my inputs but it just won't bring the picture back unless I turn everything off and restart. I have run into an issue each day where when I switch to a game, or certain app such as Spotify or YouTube, or leave a game and go to home or a different game, I have my screen say no signal. Greetings everyone, I recently got the LG C1 tv and have been using it now for about 2 weeks.
